We are proud to present our new render cleaning service:

Softwashing from Render Surgeon

Does your house have a run down look compared to your neighbors? Perhaps your neighborhood has taken on a dull and dirty look due to the unclean state of the rendering? A brief visit from the Render Surgeon team can have your home looking brand new!

Using our specialized equipment and chemicals the team at Render Surgeon can remove all sorts of grime, carbon deposits, and algal growth from the external coatings of your property.

Our solutions remove green & red algae which usually take days to remove when using typical slow acting weaker cleaning solutions. This includes black algae deposits that usually are toughest to remove from your home.

How does this differ from other cleaning methods?

Softwashing uses low pressure and biodegradable cleaning products to remove organic stains, mildew, and algae from outdoor surfaces using a low-pressure washing technique and a mixture of biocides and water.

Other cleaning methods use a high amount of water and high pressure techniques. While these may produce results they also run the risk of damaging the delicate monocouche renders that are common on most new build properties. The material that comprises monocouche renders and many modern finishes is simply unsuitable to be cleaned under high pressure. Expensive repairs and damage are best avoided when using a soft wash technique, Our soft bristle brushes gently apply and massage the cleaning solution into the pores of the render, with minimal scrubbing. This achieves a like new look after minimal passes of a wall.

How should I prepare my property to be softwashed?

Large bulky items should be removed from the area to be cleaned, tables, chairs and storage boxes etc to allow access freedom of movement for the applicator. Any organic matter should be covered to prevent any unwanted chemical damage. We are using chemicals that target organic growth after all!

Our team will provide sheets and coverings for plants and bushes, but you may want to cover them up with extra protection if there is a large amount of plant life present at the base of the wall.

What chemicals do we use?

Sodium Hypochlorite – This kills mildew spores, algae, moss, and any other plants or fungus that have taken up residence on your wall.

Water – Our chemicals are diluted with fresh H20.
